Manchester City Star to remain in prison until January 24 trial

 

The Manchester City star will go on trial early in 2022 accused of raping two women and sexually assaulting another alleged victim.

A date of January 24, 2022 has been set for his trial, accused of four counts of rape and one of sexual assault. The 27-year-old's accusations relate to alleged attacks on three different women with one under the age of 18.

Three of alleged incidents took place in October 2020, another in January 2021 and another in August 2021. The footballer was charged on August 26 and has been denied bail.

The player's attorney, Christopher Stables, has previously stated that Mendy denies the allegations. He will, though, remain in prison until the trial on January 24.
